Zapier MCP is Zapier’s hosted Model Context Protocol server. It lets Claude take real actions across more than 9,000 apps and 40,000 actions, such as sending a Slack message, adding a Google Sheets row or creating a task, using the app connections in your Zapier account. Zapier handles OAuth, credentials and rate limits for each app.

Install
Zapier’s Claude Code page gives this command:

Cons and caveats
- Every successful tool call uses two tasks. Batch actions add up fast, for example five sheet rows cost ten tasks.
- Actions are real. Claude can send emails and change records, so review before you approve.
- Each MCP client connects to only one Zapier MCP server at a time.

Frequently asked questions
How is Zapier MCP billed?
It runs on your existing Zapier plan with no separate MCP billing. Each successful tool call uses two tasks from your plan. Failed calls and listing tools do not count.
What happens when I hit my task limit?
If pay-per-task billing is on, calls keep working up to a cap and extra tasks are charged. Otherwise calls stop with a task-limit error until the cycle resets or you upgrade.
Is there a Claude Code plugin?
Yes. Run /plugin install zapier@claude-plugins-official, or add the zapier/zapier-mcp marketplace and run /plugin install zapier@zapier-plugins.
Does OAuth work on WSL?
Zapier warns that OAuth callbacks may not reach Claude Code on WSL. If sign-in does not complete, run Claude Code from a native Windows or macOS terminal.
